Brush Pepperbush kidsThe peppery flavoured red to maroon berries are edible and the leaves have a peppery flavour when crushed. Brush Pepperbush is a shrub 1 3m in size with reddish stems. The trees grow in the wetter forests of the coast and ranges, from Southern NSW to Northern Queensland. Both male and female flowers are borne on the one plant in clusters. The tree is not commercially grown like Tasmannia lanceolata but is great addition to a diverse bush food
