Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau, Domaine André Colonge 2023 Grape variety_Pedro XimenezWith autumn now very much underway, we're delighted to offer this year's new vintage of Beaujolais Villages from Domaine Andr Colonge in Fleurie. 2023 was a striking year of heatwaves and thunderstorms with cool conditions earlier in the summer (especially at night time) followed by fine weather in time for the harvest, producing beautifully ripe but concentrated fruit. The wines are intensely aromatic, round and generous, complex and seductive.
juicy berry and cherry fruit and herbal notes but gentle rounded tannins and the underlying mineral freshness that is the hallmark of Priorat
The wine sees partial ageing for 12 months in a combination of large oak casks and barriques
