Inconspicuous flowers bloom in spring and are followed by very ornamental, red, berry like fruits on female plants in autumn. Fruits are attractive to birds. Common Yew grows best in evenly moist, fertile, sandy, loamy, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade, but it can adapt to a wide
