This is typical of saddles with springs, or wide leisure saddles. This mount attaches to the 'Y' shaped lower saddle rail area and provides excellent clearance for saddle bags and other accessories (we originally invented and patented this mounting solution). This mount uses our latest Shark Tooth (ST) connector
