The rough surface and constant tough gradient makes it a belter

missing and slippery cobbles snake up through the town

This climb was summed up perfectly by a member of the Nelson Wheelers that we found splayed out at the top

This climb wraps around the iconic chalk horse cut into the hillside

especially as a thunderstorm approached
